Low Copper Content Wastewater Discharge Reduction Equipment
1. Technical Introduction
It is designed for spent low copper content solution range in 5g/l-50g/l which is produced from tank replacement and tank washing for procedures such as black oxide line and internal layer pretreatment, solder dam pretreatment, chemistry nickel gold and silver line, copper reduction line, horizontal line and OSP, etc. It adopts new technique of direct electro-deposition to obtain min. 99.5% purity electro-deposit copper plates. The copper content of treated solution is reduced to 0.5 g/L which can be used for acidification of spent stripping and developing solution in PCB plant.
2. Application Scope
It is applied to comprehensive copper-containing solution produced in PCB plant, copper electro-plating plant and copper smelting plant.
3. Equipment Introduction
3.1 Work Flow
Spent solution is pumped into electro bath where begin to electro-deposit after additives automatically been added and mixed evenly. Electrolytic copper obtained at cathode after copper ion been deposited and small amount chlorine produced from anode will be discharged after alkaline sprinkle treatment through sweep gas spray tower. The spent copper solution is continuously electrodeposited till concentration of copper is lower than 0.5g/L. Treated solution eventually will be delivered to wastewater treatment station or be used for acidification of spent stripping and developing solution treatment.

4. Environmental-protection Standards
4.1 Exhaust gas emission reaches National Environmental Protection Standards: exhaust gas is discharged after treatment, no odor.
4.2 Spent electro-deposition solution is treated before discharge.
5. Features and Advantages
The copper content of low copper content wastewater usually is 10 g/L. Traditional treatment processes such as neutralization-precipitation and cathode electro-deposition only can obtain low added value products. Here are the effects of different processes as following:
